What was the highlight of Petit Palace President Castellana
A good position for exploring Madrid or handy for business travellers
The hotel is a little more run down since i last visited 10 years ago, but the rooms are comfortable and the towels still have the "This is a towel" printed on them which is a wonderful touch.
The staff had checked the breakfast box on my check in card as my company do not usually book breakfast for me. I thought this had been given as a freebie. While the breakfast looked good, i had a coffee and a slice of toast and was charged the full amount. My fault on that one.

We asked for a quadruple room with 1 matrimonial bed and two individual beds and we got 4 individual beds

Overall it was a good stay
The location was quiet close the Atocha railway station that I could even take a taxi below 10 euro/ Plus the tourist attractions were also accessible by metro without line changeover. The staff was really well behaved and welcoming.
The washroom for for people bedroom did not have a lock from inside. One bunk bed was not made during the second day clean up. The hot cattle was provided but no complementary tea and coffee was available in the room. Although they said that tea/coffee is available free of cost at reception, but not during morning hours. The room appeared to be slightly smaller for four people.
